WELCOME 2016!

What a great way to start 2016. Reading this from my couple simply inspires me to continue to hone my craft. I am very much excited to continue to grow my wedding photography career and continue to tell more love stories thru my photographs. I really can’t say it enough THANK YOU to Mark and Czacza for the very warm testimonial about my work. I am lost of words when I read it and the comments simply amaze me too. THANK YOU!!! and I wish for many more years of documenting love, designing and producing heirloom wedding albums, and capturing the fearless beauty of women! I can’t wait for what’s next! Bring it on 2016!!!

By the way, I am now inspired again to update me blog! Yes, I was back shooting weddings a month and a half after super typhoon Yolanda struck Tacloban. I’ve been silent in my blog though and I just realized that I haven’t posted anything for more than 2 years. Anyways, I now promise to continue to update my blog and share to you the wonderful images that I have captured.:)

LEYTE WEDDING | SERGE + JEN

From the get-go, Serge and Jen wanted to make sure their wedding would be a super fun party, filled with lots of little details that were reflective of their life together! After the gorgeous 6PM wedding ceremony at the bride’s hometown 36 kilometers south of  Tacloban City, guests welcomed the newlyweds with confetti at the Cultural Center and then feasted on dinner from one of Leyte’s best caterer – The Suisse Catering. With the help of family and friends, Serge and Jen made sure their wedding will be magically unique in so many ways, giving the celebration a meaningful and personal feel.

HENDRIX+DADA | DESTINATION WEDDING

I love destination shoots and Hendrix and Dada’s wedding in Baguio City is a perfect example. Their wedding took place last December and was inspired by travel. This is farthest wedding shoot I ever had in the Philippines. The weather was perfect for me, it’s like the whole city has a centralized airconditioning that I never even break a sweat.

This wedding is very special since the bride is not just an ordinary person to me. Dada is my cousin and the godmother of my first born. I had a great time especially that my whole family was with me including my dad. It also became a family reunion for us.

During the wedding preparation at the bridal suite, I observed Dada checking out the locket attached to her bouquet which bears the photo of her father who passed away a year ago. The mood at the preparation got more exciting when Hendrix sent a box full of chocolates with a sweet note that made Dada teary eyed.

After their wedding ceremony at the Our Lady of Attonement Cathedral they joined friends + family for a reception filled with live music, local fare and mouth watering desserts at the Ballroom Hall of the Baguio Country Club. Their entire wedding and reception was shaped by the complete and generous involvement of friends and family at every stage. Kudos to Jesson of Faces and Portraits for awesome same-day-edit video presentation and congrats to Hendrix and Dada!

Prenup Session: Lemuel+Luchie

Another vintage theme Engagement Session from Lemuel and Luchie. They really made a point to prepare for this shoot despite that Luchie is working in Manila. Of course, Lemuel did all the nitty gritty props preparations back in Leyte. We had a wonderful time shooting inside Home Designs store of Evelyn and Mar. Home Designs is located at Brgy. Apitong, Tacloban City. You won’t believe that this boutique store has a wide variety of awesome product lines; from vintage stuff to wall paintings. If you’re planning to spice up your abode then this is a place to check-out in Tacloban City. I am glad that we were allowed to shoot here.

Afterwhich, we decided to make use of the vintage bikes that Lemuel was able to borrow. They had a wonderful time biking at the open field of Rafael’s Farm where their wedding reception was held. It was a fun day for everybody and not to mention the weather cooperated  too. Every single moment was a blast for me. It was indeed inspiring to shoot knowing that they really prepared their prenup session.

Kudos to Studio One team for assisting me in the shoot as well as to Mykel Tenefrancia (Make-up) for doing a good job.

Hope you guys will enjoy the photos.

Fashion: Style Weekend Magazine

The editorial team of Style Weekend Magazine of Manila Bulletin commissioned me to shoot for their Tacloban Special issue.
